The Everyman Theatre Archive


The Archive consists of •posters •programmes •scripts •photographs •performance reports •press cuttings •letters The information available is wide ranging - from photographs of Pete Postlethwaite and Jonathan Pryce to unpublished Willy Russell scripts. Interviews with key people have been conducted to complete and enhance our knowledge of the impact of the theatre in Liverpool. The interviews cover the full range of theatrical professions, every phase of the theatre's history and all its spheres of activity. They help us to identify and interpret gaps in the archive and include perspectives not otherwise fully represented in the collection.

England's Dreaming: The Jon Savage Archive

This is a large collection of material which Jon Savage collected around the area of the Punk. The material covers items which Jon Savage obtained through his journalist career and through the writing the of his book England's Dreaming. The material's nature is expansive and include, interview tapes, research notes, art works, posters, photographs and a large proportion of printed material such as music publications, fanzines and national newspapers. The vast majority of the material relates to the Sex Pistols and other Punk related areas and bands.

Photographs

The majority of images of the Sex Pistols but there are also a large number of other bands included. However none of the other bands have anywhere near as many as the Sex Pistols. The actual order of the images is very much the original order with only a few alterations being made.
