AdminHistory	St Helens and Knowsley District Area Health Authority have been responsible for St Helens and knowsley Hospital, Whiston Hospital, and Rainhill Hospital since 1948. It's current trust is the St Helens and Knowsley Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, which was formed in 1991. It was managed by Lancashire County Council until 1974 where it came under Merseyside authority.
