This includes: Sefton Area, including Sefton General Hospital and Sefton Area School of Nursing; the Liverpool Maternity Hospital; the Liverpool Eastern District School of Nursing; and the Royal Liverpool Hospital (previously Liverpool Royal Infirmary) and Broadgreen Hospital, including the Liverpool Nurses Training School. The latter also includes details of students at the Liverpool Nurses Training School who were placed in Whiston Hospital and Warrington Hospital.
The record types are mainly restricted to: registers and records of student nurses, midwives, obstetric nurses, and students on the Midwife Teachers Diploma (MTD) course; student assessment information and results; syllabi and course information; and badges, certificates, and other memorabilia associated with ceremonies for students who completed their nursing or midwifery courses.
Of particular note are: LJMUH/NUR/4/2/1/3/5 which includes a poem about the MTD course; and LJMUH/NUR/4/4/2/1/1 which includes a staff accident/incident reporting form for a student nurse who obtained a head injury whilst at work. |
