Title	Breezeblock Park

Description	Breezeblock Park was commissioned by Alan Dossor at the Liverpool Everyman Theatre and was first performed in 1975, directed by Alan Dossor and with a cast which featured Julie Walters and Pete Postlethwaite. It was produced in the West End at the Mermaid Theatre, London in 1977, again directed by Alan Dossor and featuring Wendy Craig, Julie Walters and Pete Postlethwaite, and transferred to the Whitehall Theatre, London in the same year, with the cast addition of Prunella Scales. The play was revived by the Liverpool Playhouse in 1984, directed by Bill Morrison and featuring Val Lilley, Mary Cunningham, Noreen Kershaw, Annette Ekblom, Edward Clayton, Richard Tate, Al Ashton, Barry Gunner and Ian Davies. Breezeblock Park has also played in multiple repertory theatres. The script was updated in 1991, and again in 2003 for a production at the Liverpool Playhouse, directed by Glen Walford and featuring Neil Caple, Pauline Daniels, Annabelle Dowler, Stephen Fletcher, Joanna Monro, Ray Newe, Andrew Schofield, Sophie Stanton and Michael Starke. This series features manuscripts, programmes, publicity & media material from the 1970s – 2000s and correspondence from the 1990s. This material was created by Willy Russell, or in the course of processes relating to the production of works by Willy Russell.
