Description	Life on the Ocean Wave is a collection of cruise ship ephemera from a variety of lines, but particularly Cunard. It consists of daily programmes; newsletters; brochures; menus; and other records, especially visual records, from cruise line ships.
CustodialHistory	In 2014, an unknown deposit of 'ephemera' was discovered to already be held at LJMU Special Collections & Archives, and was combined with a new deposit kindly donated by Dr Clare Horrocks on behalf of the late Mrs Eileen Horrocks who collected travel ephemera from family trips on a variety of cruise ships. This collection was collated together from these two main deposits, with some small later additions.
Related Material	LJMU Special Collections & Archives also holds the papers of Captain James Morgan of the Elder Dempster Lines shipping company under reference EDCM. We also hold the papers of the Liverpool Nautical College (and subsequent Nautical and Maritime Departments at the Liverpool Colleges of Technology, Liverpool Polytechnic, and Liverpool John Moores University) under reference LJMUH/NC.
